Croatian Wine Day hosted by the Embassy of Croatia in Seoul

Ambassador Damir Kušen of the Republic of Croatia in Seoul hosted a wine-tasting party at the Insadong Geujip Restaurant in the heart of Seoul on April 3, 2019.

A large vareity of premium wine was on display at a number tables at the traditional Korean restaurant.

An estimated total of a hundred Korean and international guests attended the meeting. Among the guests were by President Park Joo-sun of the Korean-Croatian Friendship Group in the Korean National Assembly, Mr Byun Dae-ho, former Korean Ambassador to Croatia, Mr Lee Kyubng-sik, Publisher and Chairman of The Korea Post, Mr Kim Kyong-Hae, CEO of the Communications Korea, and a number of distinguished representatives of the Korean administration, business and academic institutions, literature and art, media and wine industry.

The Croatian Embassy in Korea has organized the well-attended premium Croatian wine evening at the historical traditional Korean restaurant in the prestigious owned by Ms Yun-hae, Jeong, on Wednesday 3 April. The presentation and tasting of the unique collection of 12 different premium wines (Bartolović, Galić, Karauthaker) from the Eastern Part of Croatia – Slavonia was attended by more than 75 guests, including a number of VIPs, like Mr Park Joo-sun the President of the Korean-Croatian Friendship Group in the Korean National Assembly, Mr Byun Dae-ho, former Korean Ambassador to Croatia, Mr Lee Kyubng-sik, Publisher and Chairman of the Korea Post, Mr Kim Kyong-Hae, CEO of the Communications Korea, and a number of distinguished representatives of the Korean administration, business and academic institutions, literature and art, media and wine industry.

In his welcoming remarks, Croatian Ambassador Damir Kušen said that a half million Koreans have visited Croatia last year and, besides the beauty of the landscapes and reach cultural and historical heritage, they have also enjoyed in the Croatian cuisine and good wine. This wine tasting was organized in the traditional Korean restaurant to show how two cultures could be in a perfect harmony, encouraging the even stronger cooperation between two friendly countries. Ambassador Kušen initiated the idea of establishing the Korean-Croatian friendship society as the best possible bridge to bring two beautiful countries closer together.
