Il Ponte, Millennium Seoul Hilton’s popular Italian trattoria, is pleased to offer a special dinner with wine pairings from Santa Rita wines on April 18th. The evening has been designed so that both the food and the wines will wonderfully accompany each other in this very spectacular five-course epicurean dinner.

The first course will be seared scallops, served with celeriac cream and asparagus, and paired with the 120 Chardonnay – Reserva Especial. With fruity aromas of peach and melon, this is a pleasing wine that will enhance the soft scallops.

This will be followed by ravioli filled with chicken in cream sauce, and then pan-fried abalone with mushroom risotto, which will be accompanied by the Secret Reserva Merlot, a full-bodied, elegant and well-balance wine with a fresh, fruity finish.

The main course is charcoal-grilled beef tenderloin served with butter-poached vegetables with peppercorn sauce, and will be served with three wines: Santa Rita Medalla Real Cabernet Sauvignon Gold, Triple C ’11, and Casa Real Cabernet Sauvignon. The Medalla Real Cabernet Sauvignon Gold is full of dark blue fruit like blueberries, blackberries, and dried figs with some soft spice notes with a long, creamy, dark fruit finish. The Triple C ’11 comes in a deep and intense ruby-red color with fruits such as blackcurrent and blueberry present, along with notes of tobacco, chocolate and spice. The Casa Real Cabernet Sauvignon is an outstanding wine with a deep intense color, a nose dominated by cassis, black cherry and graphite, and an elegant and silky finish.

The dessert will be a rosemary-scented panna cotta with mixed berries compote – a most wonderful finishing touch to this extravagant experience.

Santa Rita winery is one of Chile’s finest wineries. It began in 1880 by Don Domingo Fernandez Concha, who brought the finest French grape varieties and French winemaking techniques to Chile. Since then Chile has developed into a bona fide wine-producing country, with Santa Rita leading the way.

The evening promises to be a memorable event, introducing new flavors and combinations to even the most sophisticated palates.

The dinner is priced at KW170,000++ (includes the wine pairings). Advanced reservations are highly recommended.
