Excerpts from his speech follow:

We understand that the annual average economic growth rate of 6 per cent over the last decade and Bangladesh is rising as the next-generation market for the world.
Bangladesh is growing rapidly as a newly-rising developing country.
And she is known to have boundless growth potential with 70 per cent of its over 160 million people being under the age of 35. This poses a striking contrast with Korea where the number of old people grow rapidly--like myself.

Members of the BCK make a Victory Sign at the 2018 BCK meeting.

Since the establishment of diplomatic ties between Korea and Bangladesh in 1973, Korea is enhancing her cooperation with Bangladesh in various fields
We understand that more than 200 major Korean companies are present in Bangladesh, making Korea the largest investor in Bangladesh's garment sector.

Their investments in recent years have been diversified into infrastructure, energy and consumer goods, which will lead to further development of the bilateral cooperation.
Korea and Bangladesh have boundless potential for further growth and development in all fields, especially the economic cooperation.
