Members of the Ambassadors’ Spouses Association in Seoul (ASAS) held a fundraising charity auction with K-Auction to support the ‘Holy Family Welfare Hospital’ on Nov. 28, 2019. K-Auction, one of the foremost auction houses in Korea, makes full support to help raise donations for the needy people.
At the auction, ambassadors and their spouses donated art pieces brought from their home countries and some donations were pictures painted by the ambassadors’ spouses solely for the cause.
“The members of ASAS share different cultures, traditions, races, religions. The respect for diversity is essential in our association,” said Mrs. Flavia-Athena Kloos, spouse of the ambassador of Romania who heads ASAS.
Then she said: “The mission of ASAS is to strengthen relationship and friendship, to help promote better understanding of cooperation and philanthropy among our members and the Republic of Korea. We are very pleased to work on this event with K-Auction to make this project come true and we hope that we raise a lot of money so we can bring smiles on the people we are helping.”
The donation raised by the event will be donated to the ‘Holy Family Welfare Hospital,’ a hospital run by the sisters of the Order of Little Servants of the Holy Family (Catholic nuns) to provide free medical services for those who are living in poverty.
Reverend Mother Amos from the hospital thanked the members of ASAS and said, “We are very thankful for all the members of ASAS, especially for Madam nee Flavia-Athena Kloos the president of ASAS. I remember the day when the members of ASAS visited our hospital to pray and give encouragements to our patients. Your meaningful sharings will give hope and consolation for the patients of our hospital.”
